This year's charity raffle, in support of the club's two charities The On Course Foundation' and 'Supporting Nepal's Children' will be for hampers in varying themes (kindly put together by Irene Milne Lady Capt 2019).

There will be six monthly draws between May and Oct at various events at the club. You can enter each draw at 2 per ticket or you can get six draws for the price of five if you buy up front that's 10 for six draws. Bargain! Tickets are available now in the clubhouse and the closing date for the first draw is Thu 16 May.

The first draw will take place at the next Texas Scramble on Sun 19 May.

TEXAS SCRAMBLE (19th May 2019)

The next Mixed Texas Scramble is Sunday 19th May 2019. Coffee and bacon rolls will be available before the competition - entry costs £6pp. All club members are welcome (no handicap required). Places are limited so get your name on the list ASAP.

Competition handicap is desirable but not essential.

The Club, established in 1956, is an attractive 18 hole course within the confines of the Defence Academy of The United Kingdom. The 18 different holes are achieved by a devious combination of 14 greens and 17 tees, so making each hole unique. We are established to encourage beginners to take up the sport and a visiting professional is available for lessons. The course has evolved to give all standards of players an enjoyable game in pleasant parkland conditions. The course is 5684 yards long and par 70. Our handicaps are recognised by the English Golf Union - a vital entree to other clubs when you leave.

There are at least two competitions each month, with all the entry fees being returned as prizes. There are also some 30 matches a season, against local Club and Military teams. The Club Captain would be glad to hear from players holding EGU handicaps. If friendly golf is your thing then the course is open dawn to dusk with very few tee restrictions - see Competitions, Fixtures and Course Notice Board on this web site or the club notice boards.


Club membership is comprised of personnel employed or studying at the Defence Academy and members of the local community.
