Defence Academy Golf Club Dress Code

This dress code is established by the Committee and all members are requested to comply with it and to ensure that their guests are aware of it before they arrive at the Club. Those not dressed in accordance with this code will be asked to leave the course.


  • Please see the graphic below for acceptable/non acceptable form of casual dress for use on the Course.
  • Under no circumstances will the wearing of denim jeans with studs/rivets in any colour or fabric be permitted on the Course.
  • T-Shirts and sweatshirts with prominent logos are prohibited on the Course.
  • Shorts or trousers with large patch pockets are not permitted on the Course.
  • All shirts must have a collar and must be tucked inside trousers or shorts.

  • Shirts may be worn short sleeved or sleeveless but must have a collar. Ladies golf shirts that have been designed/tailored to wear outside trousers/shorts/skirts etc may be worn. All other shirts must be tucked in.
  • Tailored shorts designed for golf, skirts and cut-offs are all acceptable forms of dress for Ladies.

Men´s shirts must have collars and sleeves and should be worn inside trousers or shorts No T-shirts, collarless shirts; football, rugby, or similar. Shirts must not be worn outside shorts or trousers.
Trousers / Shorts Trousers / Shorts
Trousers must be full length, plus fours or twos.
Tailored shorts (no lower than knee length) are permitted.
No Jeans, 3/4 length trousers, beach, denim, cargo or combat shorts. No Tracksuits or shell suits.
Socks Socks
Socks must be worn and those worn with shorts must be white ankle socks or knee length socks No trousers tucked into socks; long socks rolled down
Shoes Shoes

Spiked, moulded or pimple-based shoes should be worn

Street, canvas, trainers or sandal-type shoes, whilst permitted, are not preferred.
